DAILY SCHEDULE (Summer Season - MAY 01 to SEP 31)

On weekdays (MON to FRI):  Departures every hour approximately between 11:30 - 14:30 and 17:00 - 24:00.  On weekends: Every hour between 11:00 and 24:00.  During the rest of the year the Sunshine Express operates on weekends, public holidays and municipal festivities every hour starting 11:00 until the end of the day.

The SILVER RING TOUR departs from its starting point at Platia Agoras (Agora square) on Aeolou street.  To get on board you should arrive 5-10 minutes prior to each departure and tickets will be issued on the spot.

BRIEF ITINERARY

After departure, the SILVER RING TOUR takes you through the old city's commercial area and Plaka, following Adrianou and Nav. Nikodimou streets, turns onto Filellinon street near Syntagma, goes by the Russian and Anglican Churches.

Moving along Amalias avenue, the SUNSHINE EXPRESS goes by Lord Byron's monument (English poet, active supporter of the Greek revolution), Adrian's Arch (gate to the new part of ancient Athens) and the Temple of Olympian Zeus and turns onto Lysikratous street, towards the Byzantine Church of St. Catherine.

Leaving behind the statue of Makrygiannis (famous Greek general who fought in the revolution against the Turks), the SUNSHINE EXPRESS travels up the hill (Dionyssiou Aeropagitou street) toward the Acropolis.

The SILVER RING TOUR proceeds by the foothills of Acropolis and the Irodou Attikou ancient theater, with the majestic presence of the Parthenon towering above, on its way down Apostolou Pavlou street, past Aeropagus (the hill of the ancient supreme court), toward the area of Pnyx (the ancient municipal assembly of the Athenians).

Next, the SUNSHINE EXPRESS approaches Thission (in ancient times - Temple dedicated to god Hephaestus).

Subsequently, the SILVER RING TOUR moves on past Ancient Agora (marketplace). where in ancient times speakers use to address the Athenians and Stoa Attalou (portico built by King Attalus of Pergamus in the 2nd century BC), passing by  Monastiraki and the old Mosque (presently hosting the ceramics museum).

The SUNSHINE EXPRESS then goes through the narrow streets overviewing the Roman market (part of the marketplace built by the Romans) and moving along Adrianou street returns to the starting point of the tour.

Duration of tour: 40 minutes approximately.

The fare for each adult passenger is 5 € (five Euro), while children under 10 are charged 3 € (three Euro).
